Matthew Earle was raised on a rice farm at the edge of Bayou Boeuf in the small community of Meeker, Louisiana. His earliest memories include listening to the lilting strains of French Cajun music with his pawpaw in Mamou, a tradition that left a mark on his musical spirit.
